注:mean, maxなどの基本関数をで使用できますcollapが、fmean, fmaxなどは折りたたみパッケージで提供されるC ++ベースのグループ化関数であり、非常に高速です(つまり、大規模なデータ集約のパフォーマンスはdata.tableと同じですが、柔軟性が高くなります)。これらの高速グループ関数は、collap)なしでも使用できます。
注2:collap柔軟なマルチタイプデータ集約もサポートしています。これはもちろんcustom引数を使用して実行できますが、半自動化された方法で数値列および非数値列に関数を適用することもできます。
